Game Show Casino Games

Josh Hughes

King Of Casino

Game Show casino games aim to give a similar experience to classic game shows that appear on TV, with a live host to “entertain”.

Casinos like offering bonuses on these games, hoping that their interactive nature will keep people playing.

In this guide, I'll explain how to play the various Game Shows that casinos offer. I'll show you the optimal strategy for each game so that you can maximise your profits.

Spin A Win

This game involves a live host spinning a big wheel of numbers, each with different multipliers.

When you open the game, you will see a big wheel with different numbers on it, and below a table showing the options that you can bet on.

spin a win

How To Play

1. Join the table and select the desired coin amount by selecting one of the chips

2. When the timer shows, place a bet by clicking on one of the squares in the table. It will add the value of your chip each time you click it so be careful not to press it several times.

3. Wait for the wheel to spin, and if it lands on your selection, you will win.

4. Repeat until you have finished the required wagering.

Best Strategy and RTP

Main Bet Minimum RTP
1 95.34%
2 95.51%
5 91.22%
10 96.55%
20 92.67%
40 90.67%
Side Games Minimum RTP
Odd 97.22%
Even 91.67%
Multiplier 96.30%

The recommended strategy is to bet on Odd, because this has the highest RTP at 97.22%. Odd pays out winnings of x0.75 of your bet so a £1 bet would return £1.75. Note that your stake must be a multiple of £0.20 to get this RTP (e.g. £0.20, £0.40, £1 etc.).

Dream Catcher

Dream Catcher is very similar to Spin A Win. The main difference is that you do not have the option to bet on odd and even.

dream catcher

How To Play

4. Repeat until you have finished the required wagering

Best Strategy/ RTP
Main Bet RTP

2 95.31%
5 90.42%
Main Bet RTP
10 95.65%
20 91.8%
40 89.88%

Number 10 has the highest RTP (95.65%). However, this is a very high variance option. Because of this, I would recommend using either Number 1 or 2, which both have over 95% RTP and are much lower variance.

Monopoly Live

This is similar to Dream Catcher and Spin A Win, but with the addition of a ‘bonus round'. This gives users rolls on a monopoly board game. When the board game bonus takes place the piece moves around the board collecting multipliers. This only affects those that have placed bets on the options: 2 and 4 rolls.

The recommended strategy is to bet on Number 2, because it has the highest RTP.

Adventures Beyond Wonderland

Another spin wheel game, but this one differs because it has 4 ‘bonus' options, which are: 2 Wonderspins, 5 Wonderspins, 2 Walterspins and a Magic Dice Mini Game.

Side Games RTP
2 Wonderspins 96.67%

Megaball

Megaball combines elements of several games such as Bingo and Lotto. You start by buying between 1 and 200 cards, each of which has 24 numbers on.

A large lottery style machine then fires out 20 numbers. The aim of the game is to complete lines on your cards. After 20 balls have been drawn the game draws one or two bonus balls called ‘Megaballs’. Each time a Megaball is drawn a multiplier reel is spun. This applies a multiplier of between x5 and x100 to the Megaball. If you have the Megaball number on your card, any wins get multiplied.

megaball

How To Play

1. Join the table and choose your desired bet per ticket amount.

2. When the timer shows, click on one of the ticket bundles. If you click it more than once it will purchase it multiple times. So if you click the 10 bundle twice you would buy 20 tickets.

3. The numbers will then be drawn and you will see your ticket progress along the bottom. At the end the game will tell you how much you won.

4. Repeat until you have finished the required wagering.

Best Strategy/ RTP

Playing just one card has the highest RTP at 95.4%. But this is a high variance, and potentially very slow approach. Buying multiple cards reduces the RTP slightly, but will be much lower variance and quick to complete.

For instance if you need to wager £10, you could set your ticket price to 10p, and buy 100 tickets for a game to spend £10 in a single game. Or buy 50 tickets per game for 2 games.  This will give you much more opportunity to win.

Football Studio

In Football Studio, two cards are drawn and you bet on whether you think the first card (Home) or the second card (Away) will have a higher value.  If you bet on the card which is higher, then you win. Ace is the high card in this game.

Betting on Home or Away pays you back 2x the value of your stake.  So if you bet £1, and win, then you get back £2.  If you bet on Home or Away, and the cards are of the same value (Draw) then you receive back half of your stake.

You can also bet on the two cards being of the same value, by betting on Draw.  This option pays 11/1 odds, so if you bet £1 and win, you get back £12.

How To Play

1. Join the table and select the desired coin amount by selecting one of the chips

2. When the timer shows, place your bet by clicking on either Home, Away or Draw.

3. The dealer will then deal 2 cards and you'll see which is highest and whether you win or lose.

4. Repeat until you have finished the required wagering.

Best Strategy/ RTP

The RTP of betting on Home or Away is 96.27%.

The RTP of betting on draw is 89.64%.

So we would always recommend betting on either Home or Away and ignoring the Draw option.

Crazy Time

Crazy Time is another variation of the wheel spinning game shows. It has a mixture of numbers and 4 different bonus rounds.

How To Play

1. Join the table and select the desired coin amount

2. When the timer shows, place a bet by clicking on one of the squares in the table.

3. Wait for the wheel to spin, and if it lands on your selection, you will win.

4. Repeat until you have finished the required wagering.

The recommended strategy is to bet on Number 1, which has the highest RTP and lowest variance.

Gonzo's Treasure Hunt

Gonzo's Treasure Hunt is a new Game Show which features a wall of 70 tiles. Your aim is to pick where on the wall you think the ‘lost treasures' will appear. If you pick correctly, you will win.

gonzos treasure hunt

How To Play

1. Join the table and select the desired coin amount

2. When the timer shows, place your bets on one or more of the treasure stones (1, 2, 4, 8, 20 or 65)

3. Select the number of picks (1 to 20) you would like to make to find your stones once the wall is hidden. Your total bet will be the number of selected picks multiplied by your placed bets on treasure stones.

4. Next you will have a chance to pick where on the wall you want to make your picks. Click on any of the 70 stones to make your selections.

5. Gonzo may now allocate multipliers to some stones. Next the value of each stone is revealed. If your selected stones match up to the number/s you bet on, you will win.

6. Repeat until you have finished the required wagering.

Best Strategy/ RTP
Main Bet RTP
1 96.42%
2 96.51%
4 96.35%
Main Bet RTP
8 96.56%
20 96.55%
65 96.52%

All of the betting options have similar RTP, but we recommend betting on Number 1 and/or Number 2, because these are the lowest variance.

We recommend using a low bet amount per selection, and then choosing 10-20 selections per round to give yourself a good chance of winning.

One approach could be to place a 10p or 20p bet on both Number 1 and Number 2 and then choosing 10-20 selections. This will allow you to wager a large amount on a single game, whilst spreading your risk across lots of options.

For instance 10p on Number 1 and 10p on Number 2, and then choosing 20 selections, would allow you to wager £4 in a single round of the game. You can then repeat this and adjust the number of selections until you have reached your required total wager.

Live Slot Games

Slot providers have begun to create live versions of some of their popular slots. These live slots work very similarly to their non-live version.

The main difference is that there is a host presenting the game, and everyone plays the same slot. So for instance if the live slot pays out a win of 10x the stake, everyone on the game who placed a bet will receive back 10x their stake as winnings.

Buffalo Blitz Live

Buffalo Blitz live is a more interactive version of the classic slot game.

You have to set this to autoplay and the minimum spin size is 40p.

As you can see in the picture below you can set the number of spins, spin size, win limit and loss limit like the autoplay on a normal slot.

The RTP is 95.96%

God Of Storms Live

Age Of The Gods: God Of Storms live is a live studio version of the normal slot.

You have to set this to autoplay and the minimum spin size is 25p. You set the number of spins, spin size, and loss limit up just as you would on a normal slot.

The RTP is 96.14%

Blackjack and Roulette Variations

Although not technically game shows, there are some blackjack and roulette variations that are in the game show category.

These have different rules to the standard versions of the games.

Quantum Blackjack

Quantum Blackjack differs to normal blackjack because there is a chance for cards to be boosted by a winnings multiplier up to maximum of 1000x.

To balance this out, your hand becomes a push (a draw) if the dealer busts with three cards.

This is higher variance than regular blackjack and the RTP is slightly lower at 99.43%. But, we can continue to use the normal blackjack strategy when using this game.

Lightning Blackjack

The rules of Lightning Blackjack differ slightly to normal blackjack. You will need to pay a fee equivalent to your stake towards the multiplier which is treated the same as a side bet. If you win two hands in a row you will collect a multiplier between 2x-25x – all other rules remain unchanged.

Due to the potential multiplier on your winnings, the strategy changes a lot from normal blackjack and also makes it much higher variance. You can find more information here.

Although the RTP is listed at 99.56% it's not a game we recommend using unless an offer specifically requires it since it's easy to make mistakes with the complicated strategy.

Quantum and Lightning Roulette

Similar to Quantum Blackjack, both Quantum and Lightning Roulette offer winnings multipliers. These are applied to bets on single numbers.

Each game certain numbers are boosted. If the balls lands on the boosted number the winnings would be boosted by up to 500x the bet size.

It's important to know that to balance this out, the payout on non boosted numbers is reduced from 36:1 to 30:1.

These games still allow you to bet on even-money bets, like Red or Black, and the payouts are the same as on a regular roulette games.

These have a 97.3% RTP, and we would recommend sticking to even money bets on these games, unless otherwise advised in our guides.
