Game Shows aim to give a similar experience to classic game shows that appear on TV with a live host to “entertain”.

Casinos like offering bonuses on these games, hoping that their interactive nature will keep people playing.

They can offer reasonable RTP’s which are usually only achieved if you follow the best strategy available.

In this guide I will be going through the following points to help you become a gameshow game expert:

  • How Game Show Games Work

  • The Different Games Available

  • The Best Strategies And RTPs For Each Game

Spin A Win

This game involved a live host spinning a big wheel of numbers, each with different multipliers.

Below is the sort of image you will see when starting the game.

There will be a big wheel displaying the different numbers, and below a table showing the options of what you can bet on.

How To Play

1. Join the table and select the desired coin amount by selecting one of the chips

2. When the timer shows, place your bet by clicking on the correct square. It will add the the value of your chip once each time you press it so be careful not to press it several times

3. Watch the wheel spin around and hope it lands on your number

4. Repeat until you have finished the required wagering.

Best Strategy and RTP

Main Bet Minimum RTP
1 95.34%
2 95.51%
5 91.22%
10 96.55%
20 92.67%
40 90.67%
Side Games Minimum RTP
Odd 97.22%
Even 91.67%
Multiplier 96.30%

As you can see from the above table, Odd has the highest RTP at 97.22%

This would be the recommended strategy for all situations with the exception of if you had large wagering to complete.  For instance a bonus with x35 wagering requirements.

In this situation, you should pick something with higher volatility, so picking no 10 would be the best option for this at 96.55% RTP. If you managed to get your bonus balance quite high then you could then switch back to odd to finish the wagering.

Odd pays out winnings of x0.75 of your bet so a £1 bet would return £1.75

10 pays out winnings of x10 of your bet so a £1 bet would return £11

Dream Catcher

Dream Catcher is very similar to Spin A Win.

This game also involves a live host spinning a big wheel of numbers with different multipliers on each. The main difference is that you do not have the option to bet on odd and even. The rest of the paytable is identical to Spin A Win

How To Play

Autoplay- Dream catcher has an autoplay button which allows you to auto play between 10- 100 rounds which can be a great time saver. The autoplay button can be found next to the ‘Table’ button in the bottom right corner.

Best Strategy/ RTP
Main Bet Minimum RTP
1 95.34%
2 95.51%
5 91.22%
10 96.55%
20 92.67%
40 90.67%

As odd is not an option for Dream Catcher, Number 10 is the highest RTP option at 96.58%.

However, this is a very high variance option.

I would therefore only recommend the Number 10 when wagering large amounts in bonus funds.

Number 2 would be the best option, to minimise variance whilst achieving good RTP (95.51%), for wagering cash and small bonuses.

2  pays out winnings of x2 of your bet so a £1 bet would return £3

10 pays out winnings of x10 of your bet so a £1 bet would return £11

Monopoly Live

Monopoly Live is the casinos take on the popular board game.

The game is similar to Dream Catcher and Spin and Win, but with the addition of a ‘bonus round’, which gives users 2 or 4 rolls on a monopoly board game. When the board game bonus takes place the piece moves around the board collecting multipliers.  But this only affects those that have placed their bets on the options: 2 and 4 rolls.

How To Play

1. Join the table and select the desired coin amount by selecting one of the chips

2. When the timer shows, place your bet by clicking on the correct square. It will add the value of your chip once each time you press it so be careful not to press it several times

3. Watch the wheel spin around and hope it lands on your number

4. Repeat until you have finished the required wagering.

Autoplay- Monopoly Live has an autoplay button which allows you to auto play between 10- 100 rounds which can be a great time saver. The autoplay button can be found next to the ‘Table’ button in the bottom right corner.

Best Strategy/ RTP
Main Bet Minimum RTP
1 92.88%
2 96.23%
5 91.30%
10 96.02%
2 Rolls 93.90%
4 Rolls 93.67%

As you can see from the above, Number 2 has the highest RTP at 96.23%.

This would be the recommended strategy for all situations with the exception of if you had a very large amount of wagering to do with a bonus.

In this situation you might want to pick something with higher volatility, so picking no 10 would be the best option for this. If you managed to get your balance quite high, then you could switch back to odd to finish wagering.

2 pays out winnings of x2 of your bet so a £1 bet would return £3

10 pays out winnings of x10 of your bet so a £1 bet would return £11

Megaball

Megaball is a new game that combines elements of several games such as Bingo and Lotto.

At the start of the round, you buy between 1 and 200 cards. Each card comes with 24 numbers on.

A large lottery style machine then fires out 20 numbers and the aim of the game is to complete lines on the card. After 20 balls have been drawn the game draws one or two bonus balls called ‘Megaballs’.

Each time a megaball is drawn a multiplier reel is span. This reel then applies a multiplier of between x5 and x100 to the Megaball. If you then draw that Megaball on your card, any wins are multiplied by the multiplier.

How To Play

1. Join the table and select the desired coin amount

2. When the timer shows, place your bet by clicking on one of the ticket bundles. If you click it more than once it will purchase it multiple times. So if you click the 10 bundle twice you would have 20 tickets.

3. Watch your tickets at the bottom which will show you what numbers you need to hit wins but it moves quite fast so its hard to follow.

4. Repeat until you have finished the required wagering.

Autoplay- Megaball has an autoplay button which allows you to auto play between 10- 100 rounds which can be a great time saver. The autoplay button can be found next to the ‘Table’ button in the bottom right corner.

Best Strategy/ RTP

Playing just one card has the highest RTP at 95.4%.

However, having one card at £1 instead of 10 cards at 10p would increase the variance significantly. As the difference in RTP is small, I would suggest spreading your money across several tickets each time, when using your own cash. Or Alternatively, choose bonuses with small wagering requirements.

If you have a bonus with larger wagering requirements single cards would be my recommendation.

Football Studio

Football Studio is a very simple game, where 2 cards are drawn and you bet on whether you think the first card (Home) or the second card (Away) will have a higher value.  If you bet on the card which is higher, then you win.

A bit like betting on red or black in roulette, betting on Home or Away pays you back 2x the value of your stake if you win.  So if you bet £1, and win, then you get back £2, being your £1 stake + £1 winnings.

If you bet on Home or Away, and the cards are of the same value (Draw) then you receive back half of your stake.

You can also bet on the two cards being of the same value, by betting on the option Draw.  This option pays 11/1 odds, meaning if you bet £1 on Draw, and win, you get back £12.

Ace is the high card in this game.

How To Play

1. Join the table and select the desired coin amount by selecting one of the chips

2. When the timer shows, place your bet by clicking on either Home, Away or Draw. It will add the value of your chip once each time you press it so be careful not to press it several times

3. The dealer will then deal 2 cards and you’ll see which is highest and whether you win or lose.

4. Repeat until you have finished the required wagering.

Best Strategy/ RTP

In Football Studio, the RTP of betting on Home or Away is 96.27%.

In comparison, the RTP of betting on draw is 89.64%.

So we would always recommend betting on either Home or Away and ignoring the Draw option.

Crazy Time

Crazy Time is a new variation of the wheel spinning game shows. It had a mixture of numbers and 4 different bonus rounds. There is a second wheel that offers the chance to multiply one of the segments each game round up to 20x

Bonus games

Cash Hunt- This Bonus round brings up a wall of 108 targets with multipliers ranging from x2 to x100. This is an interactive game where you can pick your own target. If you are running it on autoplay it will pick for you if the timer runs out.

Pachinko-  For this Bonus a puck is dropped down and can land on a multiplier. There are a range of multipliers at the bottom along with two double symbols.  If the puck lands on the double everything is doubled and its dropped again. The multipliers start at x2 and can increase to a maximum of 10,000x

Coin Flip- The host goes to the coin flip game and two multipliers appear on the screen. One red and one blue.  The host flips the coin and the multiplier it lands on is the prize.

Crazy Time- The Crazy Time bonus takes place in another room where there is a giant 64 segment wheel. You can make a choice which stopper you want to use out of the 3 at the top which will have an impact on what you will win. The wheel contains various multipliers and chances to double any prizes.

How To Play

1. Join the table and select the desired coin amount

2. When the timer shows, place your bet by clicking on one the amounts

3. Watch the wheel spin and hope it lands on your number!

4. Repeat until you have finished the required wagering.

Autoplay- Crazy Time has an autoplay button which allows you to auto play between 10- 100 rounds which can be a great time saver. The autoplay button can be found next to the ‘Table’ button in the bottom right corner.

Best Strategy/ RTP
Main Bet Minimum RTP
1 96.08%
2 95.95%
5 95.78%
10 95.73%
Main Bet Minimum RTP
Pachinko 94.33%
Cash Hunt 95.27%
Coin Flip 95.70%
Crazy Time 94.41%

As you can see from the table above betting on the number 1 has the best RTP at 96.08%.

This would be the recommended strategy for all situations with the exception of if you had a very high amount of wagering, such as x35 wagering on a bonus. In this situation, you would want to pick something with higher volatility, and number 10 would be the best option for this. If you managed to get your balance quite high you could then switch back to number 1 to finish wagering.

Buffalo Blitz Live

Buffalo Blitz live is a more interactive version of the classic slot game.

You have to set this to autoplay and the minimum spin size is 40p.

As you can see in the picture below you can set the number of spins, spin size, win limit and loss limit like the autoplay on a normal slot.

The RTP is 95.96%

Blackjack and Roulette Variations

Although not technically game shows, there are some blackjack and roulette variations that are in the game show category.

These have different rules to the standard versions of the games.

Quantum Blackjack

Quantum Blackjack differs to normal blackjack because there is a chance for cards to be boosted by a winnings multiplier up to maximum of 1000x. To balance this out, it is a push (a draw) if the dealer busts in three cards.

This is higher variance than regular blackjack and the RTP is slightly lower at 99.43%. The normal black strategy would be recommended for Quantum Blackjack

Quantum and Lightning Roulette

Similar to Quantum Blackjack, both Quantum and Lightning Roulette offer winnings multipliers. These are applied to bets on single numbers. If the balls lands on the boosted number the winning would be boosted by up to 500x the bet size. To balance out this, the normal amount you win on a non boosted number is reduced from 36:1 to 20:1.

These games still allow you to bet on even-money bets, like Red or Black, and the payouts are the same as on a regular roulette game. These have a 97.3% RTP, and we would recommend sticking to even money bets on these games, unless otherwise advised in our guides.
